Kildare's Fergal Conway tackles Damien Comer of Galway
Damien Comer was once again in the thick of the action during Galway's Super 8s win over Kildare this afternoon.
One of the game's biggest talking points was the decision by referee Sean Hurson to give Kildare a free out after the Galway captain had a goal disallowed shortly after his opposite number Daniel Flynn was sent off for an off-the-ball incident at the other end of the pitch. It seems the free out was given for over-carrying, but was Comer being fouled at he bore down on goal?

I can understand why the goal wasn't given on account of steps, but surely Damien Comer was entitled to a free in there? A free out makes no sense
