Offaly side Kilcormac/Killoughey have appointed former Offaly goalkeeper Stephen Byrne as their new manager.
Byrne was ratified into the position at the club's AGM last weekend and he has been charged with the task of regaining the Offaly SHC title.
Five years ago, Byrne went for the position, but was beaten on a vote by Danny Owens who went on to have huge success with the club.
In the past, Byrne has been manager of the Offaly under-21 hurlers and selector with the minor squad.
He takes over from Martin Fogarty who had to step down at the end of the year after taking on the position of National Hurling Development manager.
The Kilcormac/Killoughey clubman will be joined by Christy Hand, John Leahy and Kevin Rigney on the management team.
