Cloughmills (Antrim) 1-11

Eoghan Rua (Derry) 2-6

Cloughmills shaded a hard-fought Ulster club IHC final at Ballymena.

A Liam Cassley goal had St. Brigid's 1-4 to 0-3 up after 25 minutes, but their Coleraine opponents finished the first half strongly to leave the sides level on 1-5 apiece at the break.

The winners pulled away again after the restart with points from Michael Devlin, Geoffrey Og Laverty, Cassley, James Doherty and Owen Kinney before a second Eoghan Rua goal reduced the deficit to the minimum.

However, another Kinney point settled it in injury-time.
