Dr Crokes (Kerry)1-14

Kilmurry-Ibrickane (Clare) 0-8

Daithi Casey netted a second half penalty as Dr Crokes enjoyed a comfortable Munster club SFC quarter-final victory over Kilmurry-Ibrickane in Quilty.

Apart from the first quarter, the Kerry champions were totally dominant as they set up a semi-final meeting with the Tipperary champions in a fortnight's time. The home side looked weary after their Clare SFC final replay win over Cratloe last weekend with Shane Hickey their only scorer from play.

Hickey and Ian McInerney had Kilmurry-Ibrickane 0-2 to 0-1 in front early on, but Pat O'Shea's charges gradually took control as points from Casey, Brian Looney, Kieran O'Leary, Eoin Brosnan and Gavin O'Shea helped them to a 0-7 to 0-4 interval lead.

Despite losing Johnny Buckey to injury and full back Michael Moloney to a black card in the first half, Crokes extended their advantage to 1-7 to 0-5 when Casey tucked away a 34th minute penalty after Martin McMahon was penalised for a foot block on Kieran O'Leary. Colm Cooper, who had a quiet first half by his standards, clipped over three second half points as the Killarney outfit eased home.
