Shane Curran was powerless to prevent his Padraig Pearses team from finishing second best to his home club St Brigid's in today's Roscommon SFC decider at Kiltoom.
Late goals from Ian Kilbride and Darragh Donnelly swung a keenly contested affair in the home side's favour and they prevailed on a 2-14 to 2-7 scoreline.
They had led by 0-8 to 1-2 at the change of ends but the sides were level with 13 minutes left on the clock after Padraig Pearses goaled through Hubert D'Arcy.
Karol Mannion subsequently sent a penalty attempt over the Padraig Pearses' crossbar but, luckily for the former county midfielder, that didn't prove to be a costly miss for Frankie Dolan's side.
Up popped Kilbride and Donnelly to put some daylight between the sides and, once again, St Brigid's are perched proudly at the summit of Roscommon club football.
