Patrick Horgan was the undisputed star of the show as Glen Rovers made it two Cork SHC title wins on the trot courtesy of a 0-19 to 2-11 final victory over Erins Own in Pairc Ui Rinn today.

The county man accounted for 12 points of his side's final tally and was very much to the fore in the closing stages as the holders came from behind to claim the spoils.

After conceding 1-4 without reply during the the second-half, Glen Rovers' title defence was hanging by a thread entering the final 10 minutes.

They trailed the men from Glounthaune by 0-14 to 2-10 but Horgan broke Erins Own hearts when sending over five points to cap an outstanding individual performance.

The accurate forward raised five white flags (four frees) in the opening period and the Graham Callanan captained outfit went in at the break with an 0-11 to 1-3 lead.

James O'Flynn goaled for the team in blue and red in the first-half while Maurice O'Carroll's second-half effort helped them take over in pole position.

With the game very much in the melting pot, it was Horgan who grabbed it by the scruff of the neck.
