Slaughtneil 2-19
Banagher 1-12
Brendan Rogers netted twice in the last five minutes as Slaughtneil eased to a four-in-a-row of Derry SHC titles at Banagher's expense in Owenbeg.
The holders, who remain on course for a second successive senior hurling and football double, laid the foundations for their win in the first half when they took a 0-14 to 0-3 lead into the break after playing with the strong wind. Tiarnan McCloskey opened the scoring for Banagher, but it was all Slaughtneil for the remainder of the half as Cormac O'Doherty, Mark McGuigan, Rogers and Chrissy McKaigue racked up points.
O'Doherty (0-10) extended Slaughtneil's lead on the restart before the challengers cut the gap with scores from Shane Farren and Darragh Cartin. But Rogers' two late goals - either side of an Oisin McCloskey strike for Banagher - sealed it in front of 2,459 spectators.
