Armagh GAA physio heads for Rio

A member of Kieran McGeeney's backroom team has travelled with the Irish Athletics squad to Rio for the Olympic Games.

Physiotherapist Paul Carragher has been part of the Armagh senior footballers' backroom team for the past eight years and was involved with the county's minor footballers for four years previous to that.

A renowned physio, Paul has been working with the Irish Athletics' squad since 2012 and has attended numerous athletic meetings including the World Indoor Championships and the World Cross-Country championships.

Carragher will work closely with the 17 Irish Athletes that have travelled to Rio for the games that begin this Friday, August 5th.

His reputation has earned him work in other sports as he has treated injuries for the Ulster Youth, U20s and junior rugby teams, Ireland U20 basketball team, Northern Ireland volleyball team and Irish senior high performance boxing squads.
