McGee appeals two-match ban

June 22, 2016

Referee Maurice Deegan sends off Donegal's Neil McGee during the Ulster SFC clash with Fermanagh.

Donegal's Neil McGee appeared before the Central Hearings Committee last night in a bid to overturn his two-match ban.

The Irish Independent reports that the Gweedore clubman refused to accept the punishment he was handed following his red card against Fermanagh in the Ulster SFC quarter-final.

An initial one-match ban was doubled by the CCCC as it was the second time he received a suspension this year following an off-the-ball incident against Kerry in the league.

Donegal intended to argue that McGee didn't do what he was reported for.
