Dublin All Star footballers Alan and Bernard Brogan have scored off the pitch with the purchase of a hotel in Co. Meath.
Along with their father Bernard Snr, the brothers have taken ownership of the Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne. They are reported to have paid almost €8 million for the four-star hotel which first opened its doors in 2007 and boasts 148 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, gym, swimming pool and conference rooms.
According to reports, the Brogans also recently purchased the Dundrum House resort and golf course in Co. Tipperary for €2.75 million.
Alan, who announced his inter-county retirement last year, works as a commercial manager for the communications consultancy firm Custodian, while Bernard is registered as a director of eight companies.
The Pillo Hotel is close to Dublin Airport, Tayto Park and Fairyhouse Racecourse.
