Antrim county board officials are to meet with their Cushendall counterparts in the coming days amid claims that over £100,000 is missing from the club's accounts.
The decision to meet the club was taken after the matter was discussed by the county management committee this week. Cushendall Ruairi Og has been carrying out its own investigation which is believed to centre on the activity of a person connected to the club.
The investigation was launched just a fortnight after Cushendall contested the All-Ireland club hurling final against Limerick side Na Piarsaigh.
Cushendall chairman Brian Kearney said in a statement last week: "These allegations, which came to light recently, are naturally upsetting for our club and our members. However, we must ensure that we have the full facts before we take any necessary and decisive action."
