James McCarthy could be in hot water with GAA disciplinary chiefs after TV replays appeared to show him eye gouging a Donegal opponent in tonight's Allianz Football League clash at Croke Park.
McCarthy was sent off along with Donegal's Michael Murphy after both received second yellow cards in the 53rd minute, but the Dublin wing back is facing retrospective action for a subsequent flashpoint involving Martin McElhinney.
The incident was sparked after Murphy slid in on McCarthy after he played the ball, causing the Ballymun Kickhams to react angrily.
