Galway were forced to play the second-half of tonight's National League defeat to Dublin without talisman Joe Canning due to illness.
It is believed that Canning had been feeling unwell in the build-up to the clash at Parnell Park and manager Micheál Donoghue took the decision to substitute the Portumna star at half-time.
The Tribesmen fell to a 1-17 to 0-13 defeat at the hands of the Dubs, whom pulled away from their opponents in a decisive 16-minute stretch early in the second-half when they outscored the visitors by 1-5 to 0-1.
Galway also lost veteran defender Fergal Moore to injury early in the game.
