Declan Hannon struck for 1-9 as Limerick scored a 3-17 to 0-18 win over Cork this afternoon in Round Four of the Munster Senior Hurling League at Mallow.

The Shannonsiders were always in control once Graeme Mulcahy struck their first goal on 19 minutes, ushering them seven in front, which was the difference at half-time (1-11 to 0-7).

The hosts would close the gap to a goal early in the restart thanks to points from Paudie O'Sullivan and Patrick Cronin, but well-timed goals made all the difference for their opponents as David Reidy set-up Hannon for their second before Darragh O'Donovan raised a third green flag for the Treaty men to put the game out of the Rebels' reach.

In Carriganore, Davy Fitgerald's Clare were in cruise control against Waterford, handing the Deise men a 1-20 to 1-9 defeat after having led by nine points at the half.

David Reidy's 13th minute goal gave the Banner men an early cushion and they built from there, with Andy Molumby's major proving only consolation for Derek McGrath's side in the end.
