Colin Lynch has been handed a second year in charge of Newmarket-on-Fergus.

The 1997 All-Ireland winning midfielder replaced Tom McNamara in the role this time last year and led Newmarket to a Clare SHC quarter-final appearance against eventual finalists Clonlara this season.

An inspirational figure in the Banner engine room for well over a decade, Lynch captained Kilmaley and his native Lissycasey to Clare SHC and SFC title successes in 2004 and 2007 respectively, and will aim to guide Newmarket to their second Canon Hamilton Cup in five seasons in 2016.
