Cork GAA has confirmed the appointment of Kieran Kingston as Cork senior hurling manager for a two year term.
Announcing the news, County Chairman Gerard Lane said: "On behalf of the County Board, I would like to wish Kieran all the very best in his new position.
"He joins a long list of distinguished Cork managers, and brings with him a wealth of experience, both as a player and as a coach.
"I would like to thank all the candidates who expressed an interest in the position, and also the members of the appointments committee for their endeavours."
The new manager, who served as coach with Jimmy Barry-Murphy from 2012 to 2014, has been appointed for a two-year term and will name his backroom team in due course.
Midleton's Pat Harnett is being tipped for a role as coach while Diarmuid O'Sullivan (Cloyne), Wayne Sherlock (Blackrock) and Brian Hurley (St Finbarr's) are the names linked with selector jobs.
