Has this ever happened before?

In this afternoon's All-Ireland intermediate camogie final at Croke Park, Waterford take on a Kildare side managed by Stephen Dormer and featuring his wife Orla (nee Bambury) at midfield.

Stephen, whose younger sister Collette is a current Kilkenny All Star, is involved with the Cappagh club and has been in charge of the Lilywhites for the last three years. Stephen had to plan without his wife for last year's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to his native Kilkenny as she was taking a break from the game to give birth to their now eight-month-old son Conor, while Orla also missed this year's semi-final win over Cork with a broken finger.

But she's regained fitness in time to play in the final.

"Orla's only just back in. She broke her finger and missed the All-Ireland semi-final. She should be back for the final now, so big family day," the Kildare manager said.

Orla's mother Phyllis - who also played camogie for Kildare when she was younger - will be minding baby Conor while his parents bid to bring home the All-Ireland.
