The death has occurred of former Cork county board chairman Jim Cronin.
The Millstreet clubman was one of Cork's most respected GAA administrators. He served as county PRO in 1994 and vice-chairman between 1997 and '99 before holding the top job from 2000 to '02. He also served as Millstreet delegate for many years.
In addition, Mr Cronin was a well-known author and GAA historian. He published a number of books, including A Rebel History - Cork's 100 All-Irelands and Cork GAA History 1886-1986.
Sympathy is extended to his wife Nuala, daughter Marie and sons Brian, Dermot and Shay.
