Tipperary's sensational comeback win over Cork was testament to the player's belief, according to manager Eamon O'Shea.

The Premier turned a 12-point deficit with 15 minutes remaining into a one-point victory after staging a remarkable late fightback at Pairc Ui Rinn.

"The team kept believing that they could do something and once you keep believing..." the manager told RTE.

"We were probably lucky in the end to get the win. Both teams played well at various stages of the game but we played well at the end I suppose. It was a good game."

He added: "We've been through quite a bit, this team, over the past 18 months, both good and bad.

"You get a certain amount of maturity and belief when you have to deal with adversity and the team is showing some signs of that, I hope."

As table-toppers in Division 1A, Tipperary will face neighbours Offaly - who finished fourth in Division 1B - in next Sunday's quarter-final.

"Offaly will be a hard test," O'Shea insisted.

"We got a hard test off them in the qualifiers last year and I expect a good, solid game."
