Selector Seanie McGrath insists Cork won't be treating today's game against Tipperary as a dead-rubber.
With both teams already through to the Allianz Hurling League quarter-finals, there isn't as much at stake as there usually is when the old rivals meet.
But McGrath contends in The Corkman: "It's always a huge game on the calendar for Cork hurling and, while we'll probably experiment a bit on Sunday, we'll be doing our level best to try and win regardless of what our starting XV is going to be.
"We feel we've got a really strong panel and I don't think the fact that both teams have qualified for the quarter-finals will lead to any shortage of commitment for what is always an important fixture.
"We definitely intend to give it a good lash and we'll just wait and see what happens, but our policy since the start of the league has been to take it one game at a time, and we'll continue with that approach for the remainder of the league."
