The Nicky English coached UCD produced a strong second-half showing against DCU at Belfield today.

After a facile 1-23 to 1-6 opening round victory over St Pat's, the Cillian Buckley-captained outfit didn't have it all their own way today but second half goals from Oisin O'Rourke and Colm Cronin sent them on the road to victory.

The hosts held a slender 0-7 to 0-6 lead at the change of ends.
