Warrenpoint (Down) 1-14
Inniskeen (Monaghan) 1-7
The Patrick McCully Cup is on its way to Co. Down after Warrenpoint produced a dominant second half performance to beat Inniskeen in today's Ulster club IFC final at the Athletic Grounds.
Ross McGarry scored 0-8 in a man of the match performance, while Gary Boyle grabbed 1-1 after coming off the bench as CPN pulled clear for a decisive victory after the sides had been level on 0-8 to 1-5 at half-time.
The winners got off to a flying start with early scores from Donagh McAleenan, Aaron Magee and McGarry before Paul Meegan opened Inniskeen's account. Meegan then found the net to give the Monaghan men the lead for the first time, 1-1 to 0-3, but three points from McGarry and another from Ryan Mallon put the winners 0-7 to 1-1 clear.
However, Inniskeen finished the half strongly with scores from Gerard McArdle, Ronan Meegan and Paul Meegan to regain parity.
Inniskeen twice hit the front early in the second half through Shane Woods and Ronan Meegan, but they failed to score again as St. Mark's took control.
After Aaron Magee had brought them level in the 43rd minute, super-sub Boyle scored a quick-fire 1-1 to put them firmly in the driving seat.
After that, McGarry decorated a brilliant performance with three further points to seal an historic win for his side.
