Jim McGuinness says the Ulster champions are in good nick ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Ulster rivals Armagh.

McGuinness witnessed the Orchard County's five-point defeat of Meath in the flesh last Saturday and he told the Irish News: "I was very impressed with them.

"The thing about Armagh is that they've built really well as the Championship has gone on. After the final whistle on Saturday you could see that there was a great togetherness in the camp and obviously great momentum on the back of the run that they're on.

"Paul (Grimley) and Kieran (McGeeney) have done a very good job with them, an excellent job with them.

"I was at the matches at the weekend and to score 18 points in those conditions was very, very big kicking.

"This will be our third encounter this year - all very competitive and close games."

The 2012 All-Ireland winning manager concluded: "The challenge is big and we understand the challenge.

"I suppose that's a wee bit of an advantage - when you understand what's coming down the track. We're just looking forward to it and we're looking to bring our own game plan to is as well.

"Our squad is healthy, we've no injuries, we played over the weekend and everybody is good to go.

"That gives us a problem we didn't have last year - it was the opposite last year, so we won't complain about that.

"We'll sit down and try and pick a team in the next couple of days and try and put our best foot forward to win the match."
