Sligo forward Pat Hughes believes that they 'have nothing to lose' in Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Cork.
The sides meet at O'Connor Park, Tullamore in a double header alongside Galway and Tipperary and of the four teams playing, Sligo are given the least chance of winning.
Hughes has no problem with the bookies making them such long outsiders and he admitted to the Sligo Champion that it was something that could benefit them.
"We're going to Tullamore with nothing to lose. It's a step up of course but we have two wins against Wicklow and Limerick behind us," said Hughes.
"If we play as well as we can, we can get a result. After Galway, we said we would regroup and give the qualifiers a right good go. I think in the past when it came to the qualifiers we nearly bottomed out. The management team and the players sat in the dressing room in Markievicz and agreed we would do our best in the qualifiers."
