Kildare are sweating over the fitness of Sean Hurley after the midfielder was injured in a club game last weekend.

Hurley was forced off the field during Johnstownbridge's opening match in the Kildare senior football championship against Confey last Sunday.

An ankle injury sustained by Hurley has raised cause for concern amongst the Kildare management and it remains to be seen what the full extent of the injury is.

Kildare manager Jason Ryan will be monitoring the situation closely, while another injury concern is Fionn Dowling who suffered a knee injury during Suncroft's clash against Ellistown.

In better news for the Kildare management, was the form of Eoghan O'Flaherty who scored 1-11 for Carbury as they defeated St Kevin's.
