The life size bronze statue of Enda Colleran at Moylough
A plaque to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Galway's first win in their three-in-a-row of All-Ireland football successes between 1964 and '66 will be unveiled in Moylough on Saturday week, May 10.

The plaque, which will be unveiled by Micheal Ó Muircheartaigh at 12 noon, will be positioned to the side of the platform on which the statue of the late, great Enda Colleran is erected. A native of Moylough, Colleran captained the 1965 and '66 All-Ireland winning teams and was subsequently named on both the GAA's Football Team of the Century and Team of the Millennium.

The former 'Sunday Game' pundit died suddenly at his home in Barna in April 2004 at the age of 61.

The plaque will feature the names of the players, trainers and selectors who were involved with what is regarded as one of the greatest Gaelic football teams of all time.
