Sligo's Charlie Harrison
Sligo manager Pat Flanagan admits he is 'encouraged' by the progress that defender Charlie Harrison has made in his recovery from injury.
Harrison is in a race against time to be fit for the Connacht senior football championship clash against either Galway or London in June.
The 2010 All-Star has been sidelined since he damaged his shoulder in the NFL game against Offaly in early March. However, he has returned to training, much to the delight of his manager.
"Charlie hasn't done any contact stuff yet but the signs are encouraging," Flanagan told the Sligo Champion. "You can never be sure how long these injuries will take to fully clear up but at this stage we're hopeful that Charlie will be back in time for the Connacht championship."
