Kevin Golden has been impressed by St Vincent's never-say-die attitude.
Never was this more evident than in last year's Dublin SFC final against Ballymun Kickhams when a five-point deficit was clawed back in the closing moments against before a brilliant replay victory was secured.
A survivor from the Marino club's 2008 All-Ireland winning team, Golden will be a key player on the side that locks horns with Castlebar Mitchels in Monday's All-Ireland senior club football championship decider.
"The thing that I've huge respect about this team is that we never give up," he notes in The Irish Daily Mirror.
"We just religiously try and keep to a game plan and the same work ethic. So there's no panicking - just keeping doing what we trained all year to do is key to that.
"Some people will call it work, getting back into the game, but I think we just kept to our job and we got back level and then pushed on from there.
"Ballymun pushed us very close. It was an incredible game, an unbelievable game to get through. That was a huge test of character."
