Mayo forward Alan Freeman is expected a 'dogfight' against Westmeath at Cusack Park on Sunday.

The Connacht side will be raging hot favourites to see off the Midlanders and consign them to a fourth consecutive league defeat.

Westmeath look odds on to make a sift return to Division Two as they struggle to pick up points, but Freeman is adamant that Paul Bealin's charges will still be a formidable threat at home.

"We're expecting an absolute dogfight up there. Westmeath will give you nothing easy and they never have," Freeman exclaimed in the Mayo News.

"We'll just concentrate on our own game, analyse our performance there. I think there's definitely a few things we can work on - we coughed up a lot of ball there for ten, 15 minutes in that second half, which we won't be too happy with, but we'll work on them and we'll get back at it."
