Dunphy's cruciate concerns

Laois hurler Willie Dunphy is worried that he may have suffered a second cruciate ligament tear.
The 21-year-old is undergoing a knee scan in Santry Sports Clinic today after being stretchered off two minutes from the end of Saturday night's Division 1B defeat to Cork.
"I won't know until I get the scan, but I would have said myself on Saturday night that it was the cruciate, although I am more hopeful since," he says in The Irish Independent.
"My foot got caught in the ground when I went to turn and I felt a tug. It was fairly simple, the way it happened, but they're the ones that can cause the damage. It's my right knee - the same one I did when I was 15.
"It did feel the same and I knew myself straight away but maybe with a bit of luck it might not be gone. I'm hoping for the best but the knee swelled up on Saturday night and it's still swollen."
