Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne have agreed to a replay
Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne have agreed to a replay of the Corn Ui Mhuiri quarter-final.

Cork opponents Colaise Chriost Ri were successful in appealing the result of the game as a result of a black card error by referee Kevin Walsh and, in a statement released today, principal Padraig Firtear said: "In the interest of the students of both schools, Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne accepts the decision that the game be replayed."

The statement continued: "Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne rejects any implication that the team management acted improperly.

"All actions of the team management at the time of the substitution were carried out with the full knowledge and on the advice of the relevant match officials.

"We also strongly reject any notion that the management of Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne had any inappropriate influence on any match official as has been suggested.

"We now consider the matter closed and we have no further comment to make at this time."

A date for the replay has been confirmed for next Saturday 8 February at 1.30pm, with the venue yet to be finalised.
