Shevlin: Louth can match anyone

Louth's Liam Shevlin
Liam Shevlin says Louth can beat any of the other teams in Division Two.

The Wee County open their league campaign against Armagh in Drogheda this weekend and then have another home game against Laois on Sunday week before facing Down, Monaghan, Galway, Donegal and Meath.

"There's no doubt it's a much tougher division this year than last year, but there isn't a team in there that we don't feel we can beat on our day," the Dreadnots clubman says in The Drogheda Independent.

"The mood is good in the camp and there's plenty of optimism. It's all about taking it one game at a time and obviously the home games will be crucial.

"The first two are vital, especially with a three-week break coming up after them, so we want to be going into that with two wins. But it won't be easy.

"I know we beat Armagh up there last year but there was nothing in the game the whole way through and I would expect it to be tight again."
