The Wexford v Laois clash will be played on Sunday to avoid a clash with the Wexford hurlers' All-Ireland Qualifier against Clare in Ennis on Saturday.
The county's official twitter account - @Official WexGAA - revealed today that manager Aidan O'Brien has chosen the St James's player to lead the team in 2014.
