Barry Connolly is set to make his Dublin debut against UCD tomorrow night.
Son of legendary 1980 All-Ireland winning Galway captain Joe Connolly, the Cuala clubman has attracted the attention of Dubs boss Anthony Daly with some outstanding performances for his club and will make his competitive intercounty bow in the Saturday night Walsh Cup opener at Parnell Park.
"We've been having a look at him. He played in recent challenge matches against University of Limerick and Loughgiel Shamrocks and he'll feature against UCD," Daly confirms in The Irish Independent.
Connolly's Cuala clubmate Paul Schutte is out for eight weeks with a thumb injury but two more Cuala men - Cian O'Callaghan and Colm Cronin - are also in line to play against UCD.
