Joe Errity is set to manage the Offaly minor hurlers in 2014.

The Birr clubman's appointment is expected to be rubberstamped at the January county board meeting. He will succeed Kilcormac/Killoughey's John Leahy, who had been in charge for the past two years. Offaly still have to appoint an U21 manager for next season.

Errity enjoyed a glittering club career, during which he won two All-Ireland senior (1994 and '98) and minor medals (1986 and '87). The former full back also garnered All-Ireland club honours with Birr.
