The Roscommon County Board are set to ratify former Galway hurler Justin Campbell as their new senior hurling manager.
Campbell was part of the Kiltormer side that won the All-Ireland club title in 1992, while he represented his native county at minor, under-21 and senior level.
As part of the management team, Campbell will be assisted by former Offaly All-Ireland winner Joachim Kelly, who will train the squad.
Recent success at under-21 level has breathed new life into Roscommon hurling and it is believed that Nicky Rackard Cup success can be achieved in 2014.
Campbell and Kelly take over from another Galway native Seamus Qualter who stepped down from the position at the end of this year's campaign.
