Crokes embarrassed by 'muppet' tweet

The tweet from Dr Crokes official account
Dr Crokes were left red-faced after a tweet from their official Twitter account - @drcrokesgaa - labelled referee Conor Lane a 'muppet'.
Shortly after the final whistle was blown in the Killarney side's narrow 0-13 to 0-12 Munster Club SFC final win over Cratloe, the following tweet was posted: "Are Munster Council taking the piss appointing that ref#muppet from Cork."
The offending comment was later deleted and the club moved to distance themselves from it: 'The Dr. Crokes Club would like to officially disassociate ourselves from the previous comment made regarding the referee'.
Club PRO John Keogh claimed to the Irish Examiner that the account was 'hacked'.
"It must have been hacked. About half a dozen members have access to the account. It must have gotten into the wrong hands. We completely disassociate ourselves from that tweet."
The PRO added that they would launch investigation into how the tweet was posted in the first place.
Cork official Lane didn't endear himself to the Killarney club's supporters when sending Colm Cooper off for a second yellow card offence.
