Dr Crokes (Kerry) 3-16
Loughmore-Castleiney (Tipperary) 1-5
Dr Crokes are just 60 minutes away from completing a three-in-a-row of Munster club football successes after crushing 13-man Loughmore-Castleiney in Killarney.
Colm Cooper and John McGrath swapped first half goals as the home side took a 1-8 to 1-3 lead into the break. But the game turned into a one-sided affair after the restart as further majors from Brian Looney and Kieran O'Leary helped the Kerry kingpins to a facile victory.
Crokes had Chris Brady sent off, while Cian Hennessy and John Ryan also saw red for the visitors in a stormy second period. Ryan was dismissed on a straight red card two minutes from the end.
The defeat brings the curtain down on a memorable season for Loughmore-Castleiney who became the first club to claim both the Tipperary SFC and SHC titles in the same year.
