Laois SHC final: Keenan inspires Camross
September 30, 2013

Zane Keenan Laois. INPHO
Camross 2-12
Borris-Kilcotton 1-12
Seven points from midfielder Zane Keenan laid the foundations for Camross' 24th Laois SHC success.
Six of Keenan's points came from placed balls and he was also involved in the build-up to Dwane Palmer's goal which left his side 1-6 to 0-3 to the good after 20 minutes.
They went in at the break with a 1-9 to 0-6 cushion but a goal from Robert Jones and points from Patrick Whelan and Ciaran Comerford brought Borris-Kilcotton - who were contesting their first final since amalgamating three years ago - right back into contention.
A converted Keenan free calmed Camross nerves and he then set up Andrew Collier for a goal which proved to be the difference between the sides at the final whistle.
Keenan's sideline cut was flicked to the opponents' net by Collier.
