Israel-based Oisin O'Donnell admits he was heartbroken not to be in Croke Park on Saturday to witness younger brother Shane's scoring heroics.
Like so many of his generation, 23-year-old engineer Oisin was forced to leave Ireland in search of work and couldn't make it home to see his sibling become an overnight sensation by scoring 3-3 on hurling's big days.
A tearful Oisin, who watched the game from an Israeli bar, told the Irish Daily Star: "I'm not embarrassed showing emotion when it comes to that game and Shane's performance. It was heart-breaking to be coming over here and missing the replay, but I enjoy my job and didn't want to jeopardise it.
"Both games were roller-coaster with all of the twists and turns. It was great to see Shane being a part of it all and how well he played was unbelievable."
