Galway minor captain Darragh Dolan hopes to call on the experience of the 2011 campaign.

Dolan was part of the side that won the All-Ireland MHC final in 2011 and on Sunday, he will lead Galway out against Waterford in this year's decider.

And the Cappataggle midfielder is hoping to call on that experience to see them over the line this weekend.

Speaking to the Connacht Tribune he said: "This is my third year in the panel. It's a good way to be, thank God. The first year we won it. It was a serious experience to get there in my first year. I know I didn't get much game time, but the experience was good to have. It stood to me last year. It's still good to have.

"All-Ireland final day, it's the weekend to be playing hurling in Croke Park. It's going to be a big day. We are well used to it. There are lads here who have experienced it before.

"Hopefully it will be no different from the last two games. We will treat it no different to the last two games. We have to enjoy it anyway. Hopefully, we can come out with the win."
