All-Ireland winning former Wexford hurler Ger Cushe has joined the county's backroom team.

Cushe lined out at full back as Wexford lifted the title in 1996 and is regarded as one of the finest defenders of his generation.

The Naomh Eanna clubman was a selector with Tony Dempsey in the past, so he will be familiar with what the role entails.

Cushe will join Paudie Butler and Gerry Fitzpatrick, who are to remain on in a coaching capacity. Tweet
