Laois footballer Brian McCormack has expressed his anger over an off the ball incident during a club game that left him needing dental treatment.

McCormack was lining out for his club Portlaoise against Stradbally in a league game last weekend, when he alleges that he was struck in the mouth from behind.

Three players were sent off during the ill-tempered affair, but McCormack took to twitter to express his feelings on the incident.

"It's just great to spend a sat morning in the dentist after a coward runs in off the sideline and hits u from behind," he wrote.

An investigation by the Laois CCC is set to be launched once they receive the referee's match report. Tweet
