Mickey Harte says The Sunday Game's treatment of Kevin Walsh was "completely out of order".
After Walsh's Sligo side was beaten by London at Ruislip last weekend, former Yeats County talisman and fledgling Sunday Game analyst Eamonn O'Hara launched a scathing attack on the Galway man during Sunday night's highlights show.
Tyrone boss Harte - who himself declines to speak to RTE for personal reasons - believes the attack was out of order:
"The broadside fired at Sligo manager Kevin Walsh by one of his former players was completely out of order and grossly unfair," he writes in The Irish News.
"Opportunism of this nature should not have been afforded the soapbox it was afforded.
"Kevin Walsh has given much to Sligo football over the last five years and deserves more respect than he was shown on this occasion.
"The 'kick them when they are down' observers failed to notice anything but the end result and, as such, their opinions should be treated with the contempt their shallow thinking (if that's not being too complimentary) deserves."
