Kildare have three players missing through injury for Saturday's Leinster SFC opener.

Conor Mellett and Brian Flanagan have been joined on the treatment table by Hugh Lynch, who is out with a hamstring injury.

Lynch's absence means that Kildare are short on cover in midfield as Dermot Earley has retired, while Sean Hurley has been dropped from the squad for indiscipline reasons.

The Lilywhites are not due to name their team until after training on Thursday night, but Daryl and Daniel Flynn are tipped to fill the midfield berths. Tweet
