Tyrone goalkeeper Niall Morgan won't rush his frees against Donegal on Sunday.

Morgan - who makes his SFC debut against the All-Ireland champions at Ballybofey this weekend - became an integral part of the O'Neill County XV during the league and his accuracy from placed balls has even put Dublin's Stephen Cluxton very much in the shade.

The Edendork clubman floated over five points during his last appearance for Mickey Harte's men - the league final against the Dubs - and he insists he'll be taking his time over crucial kicks at MacCumhail Park:

"It was said by Pat McEnaney that they had researched it and outfield players are taking just as much time as goalkeepers," he says in The Irish Daily Mirror.

"We are sort of jogging or running to hit the free kick, whereas outfield players are walking over.

"I will be taking the same time as I normally do."

Morgan adds that he will ignore any attempts to put him off his kicks: "The only team to really do it against me was DIT in the Ryan Cup.

"It was the first time anyone ran alongside me from corner forward right to where the free kick was. He talked very little, he just ran alongside me to try and take my eye off the ball.

"Everybody has their wee mouthful when you are setting the ball up. That happens in club football, too, so I expect the same thing come Donegal.

"I just concentrate on hitting the free kick. The best thing to do is keep my eye on the ball, line up the posts, and hit it. I will be focussing on every one as if it's the winning of the game."
