Ephie: Kerry games will stand to us

May 10, 2013
Ephie Fitzgerald believes Cork's two jousts with Kerry will stand them in good stead against holders Tipperary in next Wednesday's Munster MFC semi-final at Semple Stadium.

The Rebels needed a replay to get over their old rivals and speaking to the Southern Star, the manager said: "You can't beat championship matches to bring a team on, and we were delighted with the level of intensity in the games against Kerry.

"It will be higher again against Tipp because it's knockout, but I'd be very hopeful of the win providing the lads go out an express themselves.

"Playing Tipp in Thurles makes it an even bigger challenge, but beating Kerry in Tralee has to be good for confidence, and we are looking forward to it."
