Nothing would give Premier County supporters more satisfaction then beating Kilkenny in their own backyard in Sunday's league showdown but vice-captain Brendan Maher played down the significance of the opposition and the venue.
The versatile Maher is more concerned with getting his hands on a first league medal.
"It's the League title, hands down. I don't have a League medal, it's the only medal I've failed to achieve so far," he told the Irish Daily Star.
"I came in a year too late and I missed the '08 one. It's a League medal and I'd be hoping to win a few of them. I want to try and win as many medals as possible and hopefully Sunday is the first.
"I think any time you play Kilkenny it's a massive challenge.
"They're going to be no different than if they were going to be playing in Croke Park or Semple Stadium.
"That's the way we are approaching the game. We just want to get a performance out of ourselves. If it's good enough to win, then excellent."
