Offaly minor football team has been announced for Saturday's trip to Pairc Tailteann to face Meath.

The Offaly minor football side to face Meath in the opening round of the Electric Ireland Leinster GAA Minor Football Championship at 3pm in Pairc Tailteann, Navan this Saturday, April 20th has been announced.

The 'Faithful County' are managed by Padraig Farrell (Tubber), with his selectors being Eamonn Mahon (Shannonbridge) and JJ Malone (Ballinagar).

The winners of this tie will progress to the provincial quarter-finals on May 11, while the losers will face Longford on May 1.

Tullamore's Ken Hogan captains the side.

Meanwhile, the Offaly minor hurling team to face Carlow in St Brendan's Park, Birr has also been announced

THE Offaly minor hurling side to face Carlow in the opening round of the Electric Ireland Leinster GAA Minor Hurling Championship at 5pm in St Brendan's Park, Birr this Saturday, April 20th has been announced.

The 'Faithful County' are managed by John Leahy (Kilcormac/Killoughey) , with his selectors being Kieran McDonald (Brosna Gaels), Ronnie Byrne (Lusmagh) and Dermot Hogan (Coolderry).

The winners of this tie will face Dublin in the next round of the championship on May 4th, while the losers will face the winners of Kildare versus Wicklow, also pencilled in for the same date.

Birr's Emmet Nolan captains the side and he is one of eight players that were part of the 2012 set-up - the other seven are Kilcormac/Killoughey trio Cillian Kiely, Dylan Murray & Alan Spain, St Rynagh's duo Rian Kelly & Colm Daly and Shinrone pair Conor Doughan and Jordan Fogarty.
