David Geaney may be the subject of a sports table quiz in years to come.

'What GAA player legally lined out for two clubs in different counties in the space of a fortnight?'. This may well adorn some question sheets following Geaney's exploits over the next few weeks.

For the Kerry man is due to line out for his native club Dingle in this weekend's County football league division 1 final against Dr Crokes.

Nothing strange there you might say, but take into account the fact that Geaney transferred to Meath club Dunboyne at the start of the year and is set to appear for the St Peter's outfit in their senior football championship opener against Simonstown on Saturday week.

The reason for Geaney's appearance for Dingle this week is that he is eligible to play in the league final as it is the 2012 competition when he was still a Dingle player.

The Dublin based school teacher will be hoping to sign off on his Dingle career with a win over the team that beat them in last year's county final.
